Eau Claire is a growing, young and bumping city full of arts and entertainment. Small businesses thrive and musical artists have plenty of venues, which give many opportunities to perform. This weekend is no exception because plenty of events for various interests are offered.

Banbury Art Crawl: Whether you’re looking for a crafty gift for a significant other or want to walk around and browse art as you listen to live music, there is plenty to offer here. You can join them for their 11th annual art crawl to see studios from a variety of art disciplines. From woodworking to photography, there’s bound to be something to capture your eye (or heart, if that is your thing). The art crawl is from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Banbury Place, 800 Wisconsin St. Free.

Candlelit ski, hike and snowshoe: If you’re sick of the indoors, there will be a candlelit hike at Lake Wissota. The hike will have campfires for roasting s’mores or hotdogs if you bring your own provisions. Hot cider and cocoa will be available and snowshoes can be borrowed with a donation. The event is sponsored by Friends of Lake Wissota State Park. Weather for the hike is currently predicted to be roughly 15 degrees Fahrenheit, with snow falling about three hours after the event ends. Due to the outdoor nature of the event, be sure to check the weather closer to the event in order to make a fully informed decision of your attendance. This hike is from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Lake Wissota State Park, 18127 County Hwy O, Chippewa Falls. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Day passes are $8 for Wisconsin plates and $11 for out-of-state plates. The event itself is free.

Live music at Acoustic Café: The Acoustic Café will feature live music from Larry Carpenter and the Root Tappers. Carpenter is described to be more contemporary, distinguished with a finger-picking style of playing the guitar. The Root Tappers perform genres from folk to Americana. 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Acoustic Café, 505 S Barstow St. Free. 

Funk Rock Night: Modern Joey and Asparagus will perform for a funk-rock night starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday at Stones Throw. If Acoustic Café isn’t quite up to your speed, Stones Throw might be your pace. See what The Spectator’s own McKenna Dirks says about Asparagus here. The event goes from 8 p.m. Saturday to 1:30 a.m Sunday. The event, at Stones Throw, is for ages 21 and older. The bar is on 304 Eau Claire St. There is a $5 door fee. 

Yoga & Brunch in the Greenhouse: If you’re interested in deliberate relaxation, meditation or continuing new or old workout goals, there’s a yoga lesson suitable for all levels of experience with a light lunch afterward. This all takes place in a greenhouse, which adds to the relaxing nature of yoga and could help remind those who attend of the upcoming spring season. The event is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Down to Earth Garden Center, 6025 Arndt Lane. The cost is $25, which covers both the yoga instruction and the brunch.

From both indoor to outdoor activity and from physical arts to physical exercise, there are a plethora of activities to choose from this weekend.
