Giving us pumpkin to think about: the competing pumpkins lined out across the park plaza.
On Saturday, Sept. 25, the River Prairie Ginormous Pumpkin Festival was held in Altoona, hosting the biggest pumpkins from around western Wisconsin.
The main attraction was the ginormous pumpkin competition, with the winner this year weighing in at 2,046 lbs.
While pumpkin weighing took place over the course of the whole day, several other activities rounded out the festival, including a morning race, a rubber duck race, pumpkin dessert competition and the dropping of a ginormous pumpkin filled with candy.
