Where’s the love?
We have all had those moments where we tell our parents to leave us alone or to never speak to us again in a fit of angst (ahh, childhood memories). But for Bernard Bey, a 32-year-old from Brooklyn, getting attention from his parents is something he demands more of.
This man is suing his parents … because he was not loved enough. Alright. Okay. I mean, I get it. You want to be raised in a loving family that supports you and will do anything for you. But come on, man. Suing your parents?
Bey filed a lawsuit in court earlier this month stating his parents caused him to feel “unloved and beaten by the world.”
Dang. I hope this guy just has a lot of rage in him and that his parents really weren’t that bad. He did say his parents physically and emotionally abused him and that caused him to run away from home at the age of 12.
He is now homeless and is asking the court for more than $200,000 in damages. And here’s the weirdest part: he wants his parents to mortgage their family home and purchase two franchises like Domino’s Pizza. Yeah, like New York needs more pizza.
But he said that he wants his parents to buy something that can be passed down generations so that no one has to live like he has to. How thoughtful.
Abandon ship
Have you ever had the urge to climb aboard the Titanic? I mean, forget about the ship sinking and all that jazz. If you could climb aboard and relive a part of history, would you grab that chance? I would. That would be so crazy.
Well, it looks like you can. Clive Palmer planned a year ago that he would rebuild the Titanic. Now he has the blueprints to prove he isn’t kidding. Palmer said that over 40,000 people are interested in buying tickets for Titanic II.
How he figured this out, I have no idea. You can’t sign up to reserve your ticket yet, but let’s just say this guy is brilliant. If he can make this work, people are going to want to be a part of it.
Palmer wants to dock at ports such as Shanghai and New York and wants to decorate the interior of the ship with rooms such as a smoking room. This sounds fun and all, but he isn’t stopping at just the replica.
He wants to make a complete reenactment of the twentieth century. Passengers will be assigned classes (first, second and third) and will only be able to dress, eat and talk with people who are in the same caste as them. If the passengers wish to see how the other castes are living, the can spend some extra cash and buy tickets to sneak a peek at the other side.
Seriously?! Sign me the heck up!
Emergency, emergency!
