The UW-Eau Claire women’s basketball team is having a good year, and the team is 17-5 overall, with a 10-3 record in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. They’re currently tied for second place with UW-River Falls with three conference games left to play in the regular season.
The team didn’t have any games this week, so Chief Copy Editor Spenser Bickett took time to sit down and talk with coach Tonja Englund and talk about the team’s success this season, as well as other topics. They touched on Englund’s coaching role models and mentors, as well as how women’s basketball has changed since Englund played it in high school and college.
