UW-Whitewater beat UW-Eau Claire’s gymnastics team 184.200 to 178.324 Saturday.
This was the first time the Blugolds faced Whitewater this season and was their second loss of the season. Whitewater came away with first place in every event: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.
Eau Claire Freshman Julia Stedman placed second on vault with a score of 9.450, a career high.
Junior Michaela McCamey managed second place for beam with 9.500 and junior Olivia Aschenbrenner placed third.

The Blugolds travel to UW-Oshkosh Friday at 6:30 p.m. for their next competition.
