Cross country teams compete at Lake Wissota Invite

While the top 12 runners of the men’s and women’s teams rested in preparation for the WIAC conference meet, the other members participated in another Blugold home meet at Lake Wissota State Park Friday afternoon.

UW-Eau Claire competed against UW-River Falls and Viterbo College as well as individual runners. No scores or places were recorded for the meet.

For the women, senior Angie Gasser finished in fourth place for the Blugolds with a time of 19:49 with freshman Emily Symons finishing sixth with a time of 19:53. Junior Emily Holman followed behind in seventh place with a time of 19:55.

On the men’s side, sophomore Jordan Rathke placed second with a time of 26:54. Freshman Matt Cyra came in third with a time of 26:55, and freshman Ryan Graham finished seventh with a time of 27:42.
